QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

What is the best way to learn more about St. George Parish School or to schedule a tour with my family?
For more information or to schedule a tour, please contact our School Office at (209) 463-1540.

What happens after my child is accepted?
After a new student is accepted to St. George Parish School and enrolled, the new family is matched with a “welcome family” to help with the transition. In addition, new families receive a variety of materials, e.g., school calendar, uniform information, school supply list, etc...,  to help them prepare for their arrival in August.

Is transportation to school provided?
No formal transportation service is offered to and from school each day. The school is happy to provide a list of families that live in your area to create carpool opportunities.  Using services like Uber is discouraged and may be illegal.

Can new families apply for tuition assistance?
Yes. The financial aid application process is completed independently of the admissions process. Please refer to the Tuition Assistance page for details.

Is an interview required to apply to St. George Parish School?
Yes, we want to get to know you and what you are looking for when enrolling in St. George Parish School. It also gives us an opportunity to share more about our school and our expectations.  The success of the school-parent partnership is making sure we have the right match.

Must our child be Catholic to attend St. George Parish School?
Admission priority is given to Catholic families as we are a parish school, however we welcome children of other faiths. The admittance of students from other faiths enhances our educational learning community. With the exception of receiving the sacraments, students of all faiths participate in religion classes and activities.

Do you provide before/after school day care?
Free Morning Day Care is available to all students on regular school days. Operating hours are 7:00am–7:45am.
After School Care is available to all students for a fee of $2 per day and is billed at the end of each month.
